Confidentiality and Protection of Intellectual Property Agreement

General

In order to protect the confidentiality of the affairs of the AEC Network and our members without prejudice to every other duty to keep secret all information given to you or gained in confidence, you must not disclose and use your best endeavours to prevent the disclosure to anyone, any confidential information concerning AEC Network, members, clients, business associates, accounts, affairs or finances of AEC Network or any of its secrets, dealings, transactions, procedures or systems (including any information relating to any members of the company or anyone else with whom the company has business dealings) and you will not use such information or secrets in any way for any purpose other than those of the Company¹s business. Information in this confidentiality agreement is related to the use of data supplied by AEC Network members for the purposes of benchmarking and analysis.

If you are called upon by any person not employed by the AEC Network to disclose details relating to the affairs of the AEC Network, its members or business associates, you should seek advice from the AEC Network in order to establish that the information requested can be communicated. You will not issue statements to the press without the prior authorisation from the AEC Network.

You must at all times be aware of the importance of maintaining confidentiality of information gained by you during the course of your duties. This may include access to personal information relating to service users. You must treat all information in a discreet and confidential manner.

All data held, its management and procedures must conform to the requirements of the Data Protection Bill (2017). The Data Protection Bill governs personal information recorded on computer and held in paper records and unauthorized disclosure of such information is unlawful. Written records, computer records and correspondence pertaining to any aspect of the AEC Network, its members, clients, business associates, accounts, affairs or finances must be kept securely at all times.

You have an obligation to ensure that computer systems which you use are protected from inappropriate access within your direct area of practice e.g. by ensuring that personal passwords are kept secure and workstations are locked when not in use.

Failure by you to observe this duty of confidentiality, which remains binding on you even after termination of your employment howsoever caused, will entitle the AEC Network to take such disciplinary and/or legal action as it may consider necessary in the circumstances.

Membership Area 

Any and all information, presentations, graphs, templates, videos, graphics, data analysis and documents in all formats are the property of the AEC Network and must not be copied or shared with any persons or Company outside the AEC Network membership.

Failure by you to observe this duty of confidentiality, which remains binding on you even after termination of your employment with the member site howsoever caused, will entitle AEC Network to take such disciplinary and/or legal action as it may consider necessary in the circumstances.

The term Company in this agreement refers to the AEC Network and any and all associated companies.
